Upholding the "Culture of Life"
As a thanksgiving sacrifice to God for His many blessings, the Human Life and Development Fund was established in 1989 during the celebration of the 100th anniversary of our Diocese. The Fund was officially incorporated in 1994, a committee was formed, and the first grants were given. It is the Diocese's only direct social service outreach in northeastern Minnesota.

A Two-Fold Mission 

• To reach out to those in need-the poor, hungry, homeless and jobless.
• To champion the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception through all its stages to natural death.
