Engaged Weekend

An Engaged Weekend is scheduled for Sept. 28-29 at Queen of Peace Church in Cloquet. Engaged Weekends are part of the preparation for couples as they ready to approach the sacrament of matrimony. More information and registration can be found at www.dioceseduluth.org/marriage-and-family-life.

Anniversary Mass and luncheon 

Couples celebrating marriage year milestones of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55 or more are invited to the tenth annual Anniversary Mass and Luncheon, Sunday, Oct. 13. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. with Bishop Daniel Felton at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, with a luncheon to follow at Stella Maris — Holy Rosary Campus, 2802 E. Fourth St., Duluth. All are welcome at Mass, but space for lunch is limited to the first 50 couples who reserve a space. The luncheon is free for the celebrating couples. Retrouvaille 

Thinking about separation or divorce? Hurting? Angry? Feel helpless? Retrouvaille is a lifeline for troubled marriages. Couples learn the tools to rediscover each other and heal their marriage. 100% confidential. Since 1977, more than 40,000 marriages have been saved worldwide. 40 Days for Life 

The 40 Days for Life vigil in Duluth runs from Sept. 25 through Nov. 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The website 40daysforlife.com/en/duluth is up and running, and participants are encouraged to register early. Please contact Kathy Cory-Whitmyer at (218) 390-8560 or [email protected] for more information. The organization also needs help to organize and lead the vigil so all goes smoothly. Check your parish bulletin for the time and date of the next planning meeting. The campaign involves peacefully praying at the abortion center on First Street in Duluth. This is a prayer vigil, not a protest or sidewalk counseling.
