The annual Respect Life Essay Contest sponsored by the Department of Marriage, Family, and Life of the Diocese of Duluth has begun. The essay contest strives to promote middle- and high-school students’ abilities to articulate the arguments for respecting life. This year’s theme is “Radical Solidarity.” This Respect Life campaign focuses on the call to live out radical solidarity with mothers in need and their children. Students in middle school, grades 5-8, and high-school, grades 9-12, are eligible. All parish and Catholic school entries must be submitted in the same envelope. All submissions should be postmarked by Dec. 22. Contest guidelines are posted at www.dioceseduluth.org/marriage-and-family-life. For more information, contact Betsy Kneepkens at (218) 724-9111 or [email protected].
