Queen of Peace School will host a color run Saturday, Sept. 21, at Pine Valley Recreation Area in Cloquet. There will be two course options, a 5K and a color dash (approximately 2.5K). Everyone is welcome to participate. Races start at 11 a.m. Registration is $25 for ages 13 and up, $20 for ages five to 12, and free for children four and under. The event will also include food trucks, games, and prizes. Proceeds will go to Queen of Peace Catholic School in Cloquet.

Are you overwhelmed by raising kids in this ever-changing digital age? If so, Stella Maris Academy invites all parents and caring adults to attend a special presentation, “How to Create a Tech-Ready Home: Embracing the Tension between Careful, Countercultural, and Confident,” with digital expert Chris McKenna from the Protect Young Eyes organization. This presentation is relevant for all parents of little kids, big kids, tweens, and teens. This free event will be held at Somers Lounge at the College of St. Scholastica on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event is open to the wider community so feel free to invite any parent you know seeking guidance on technology and parenting.
